Salvatore Molettieri Vigna Cinque Querce Taurasi Aglianico 2012

$40.95

A deep, plush, full-bodied red, with dense tannins that are well-meshed to flavors of black cherry pâte de fruit, olive paste, cured tobacco, spice box, iron and graphite. Big and brooding, this nonetheless maintains a sense of elegance throughout... 1,000 cases made, 100 cases imported. Wine Spectator

2012. Very good Aglianico. Big and concentrated and surprisingly still drinking young (took 2-3 hours to open up). Dark cherry, leather, minerals/iron underneath still-firm tannins. Plenty of time left. $40 at Vine Republic.
