Ridge Vineyards Geyserville Vineyard Zinfandel Blend 2012 (1500ml)

$99.99

The 2012 Zinfandel Geyserville is quite exuberant in this vintage. Savory herbs, tobacco, smoke, menthol and dark red/blackish-toned fruit burst from the glass in an exotic, juicy Zinfandel-based field blend loaded with personality...jewel of a wine. The brisk, energetic finish is incredibly appealing... Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Very drinkable blend, light in body, high viscosity, great pairing w/lasagna.

2012, bottled Jan 2014 - just a baby, needs some time! Fluorescent purple rim, aromatically bubbling over with bright fruit: cranberry, blackberry, huckleberry. Hints of dilly herbs and great texture/acid balancing the CA Zin fruit. Love the devotion to transparency with labels at #Ridge

Ripe and young. I'll have to wait some years to truly approach this wine. But it is fruit filled and jammy, like zins should be (in my opinion). Grippy tannins (as expected for being so young), but very delicious. Love Ridge.

Too young but still good. Bright ripe fruit, fresh oak, light pepper spice.

So good every time! Consistency should be somewhere on their label.

Showing red fruit, licorice, spice, and hints of oak. Solid but needs some more time in the bottle.
