The 2003 Vina Bosconia has another enticing bouquet: hints of cooked meat, hickory, peat and rosemary that is beautifully defined. The palate is medium-bodied with firm dry tannins and a poised, lifted earthy finish with touches of soy and sea salt on the aftertaste... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

This is one of the most successful European 2003's I have had, rich but not overripe or hot, with an American oak vanillin frame for strong dark fruit. It is a little volatile on the back end but also refreshing. Very nice with lamb stew and peas!

Had this for my wedding anniversary. Not much you can say about these wines besides they are always worth it...

80% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, 5% mazuelo and graciano. Black cherry, freshness in body and very fine tannins. Acidity is very balanced but not "zippy"

Stewed red fruit with pronounced savory and mineral notes as well. Juicy acidity and firm, powdery tannins.

Still so much life to this wine...Sanguine, a little volatile, savory, leather, subtle oak present

One of, if not my favorite, rioja producers. Fruit on the 03 is a bit crisper than other vintages. Cranberry, tomato (leaf?), deftly deliberate oxidation, earth and savory balsamic, all framed in lovely oak. Fine integrated tannin. Long savory finish

Oxidative notes gave way to flavors of black tea, soy, and baked red cherries. Aging well.

A shadow of its former greatness. Still good juice, but past its peak.
