The 2011 Ovid has aged exceptionally well. Freshly cut flowers, sweet red berry fruit, cedar, mint and sweet pipe tobacco are all very nicely lifted. Silky and medium in body, the 2011 is super-expressive today. It also appears to have reached an early plateau of maturity, so I would not wait too long on it. Sweet tobacco, dried herbs, mint, licorice and pine linger on the refined finish. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2022)

I was pretty impressed by this especially considering it was an '11. Wouldn't have guessed that. #pritchardhill #napavalley

Haven’t posted for a while, but celebrating a strong week at work. Ovid just plain delivers. Shows great after 45 min decant. Pairing with some sourdough and herbed olive oil— great way to start the weekend! Relocated to Minneapolis- let me know if in the area to share a glass!

And yet. Another 2011 that delivers. Spot on.

Fourth flight. I've had many good 2011's so I don't feel I'm biased, but when compared to the rest this wine was the consensus this was the worst of the bunch. It's not a bad wine, lean, red fruits, short clipped finish.

Wonderful after 3 hours in the decanter. Just brilliant fruit and winemaking. 2011 is strong in Pritchard Hill. This is rich, powerful, yet with a crisp acidity that just balances all that bright red and deep blue fruits. Great stuff.

Drinks like an Ovid but doesn't have the complexity of the 2012.
