Been awhile since I have had this…a good revisit. I’m sure my historical notes on this still stand. My cherry tomatoes are in full streaming mode. So good. Especially, with burrata. Try this with your garden cherry tomatoes or ones from the farmers market. Slice in halves, drizzle nicely but not over w/ olive oil, squeeze some fresh lemon, add Maldon salt to taste and fresh basil strips. Mix & let stand 10-15 before enjoying. It is the most authentic presentation of Italian cuisine I have known outside Italy.

This is a delicious Champagne. Showing citrus, lemons, apples, pears, yeast, light earth and minerals. Dry on the palate and medium bodied with medium acidity. Long finish with limes and grapefruits. Wine Enthusiasts 91. Wine Spectator 91. Well balanced with nice complexity. Not bitter nor tart. Very tasty. Good by itself or with food. 12% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $60.

Have to say this bottle surprised us. So brisk and bright with real mineral cut. One of the better big-house entry bottles I’ve tried.

A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 15% Meunier, from several vintages. Tried a new batch, pale gold with aromas of citrus and floral notes, fine bubbles and light mousse. On the palate flavors of crisp apples, peach and lemon notes, savory and complex. Long ending with fruit and slight toasty biscuit character. Very nice!
