Deep garnet in color, the 2005 Block 6 Shiraz exudes beguiling notes of warm black cherries, raspberry preserves and Chinese dried plums with hints of fruit cake, salami, mocha and licorice. Very big, full-bodied and rich, the palate is very spicy, densely laden with dried fruits and savory flavors and structured by medium-firm grainy tannins through the long finish. Mature now, it should cellar to 2024+. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Shiraz for the aficionado, right out central casting. Bright, pure and stopping just at the edge before over-extracted. Could’ve been dessert but that’s a compliment, chewy dark red and blue fruit.

Always fun to drink something like this every now and then. Big, yes. Bold, yes. This inky black wine from 19th century vines is seriously intense. I wouldn’t want this every day but it’s fun and interesting
