Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Kathryn Hall sashays out of the glass with beguiling notions of warm black and red currants, fresh blackberries, black raspberries and boysenberries with touches of rose hip tea, forest floor, pencil shavings and violets. Full-bodied with a taut foundation of firm, fine-grained tannins and bags of freshness, it has layer upon layer of perfumed black and red fruits, finishing long and fragrant. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Kathryn Hall is a rich, dense wine. Dark red and purplish berry fruit, spice, lavender and new leather all flesh out in an ample, creamy Cabernet Sauvignon endowed with tremendous textural resonance. This is one of the more expressive wines in the range. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2020)

The 2016 'Kathryn Hall' Cabernet Sauvignon is a show-stopping wine from winemaker Steve Levesque. Composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot with the core fruit sourced from a barrel selection from the Sacrashe Vineyard. Simply captivating, this opens to inviting aromas of ripe dark currants and blueberry compote that collide with violets, tar and shades of sweet pipe tobacco that all sing in the glass. On the palate this is soft and plush, with beautifully round polished tannins and a gorgeous seamless quality, as well as wonderful weight that truly entices. It continues to deliver layers complex flavors including blueberry compote, leather, mocha, creosote and shades of Asian spices that all build up to the long multidimensional finish. While a delight in its youth, the 2016 'Katheryn Hall' Cabernet Sauvignon should also go on to provide enjoyment for twenty years. Drink 2020-2038- 97

We had the 2016 Vintage on 12/21/22. This is a fantastic Napa floor Cab. Tastes of blackberry, plum, chocolate and a nice spice. Full bodied and well balanced . This is a terrific wine.

Nice big Napa Cab. Almost black color, lots of dark fruit. Nice but not to standard of 2014 or 2015 vintages at a similar point.

The 2016 Kathryn Hall is deep ruby in color with enticing aromas of cassis, violets, cacao, anise and black tea. This powerful vintage sets the stage for a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with layered notes of dark plum, ripe blackberry, anise, pine needle and violet. The firm tannins are well integrated and provide a structured backbone to this opulent wine.

As a 2016 as a strong rose it's barely sustainable in off the nose and on the front and balanced to the end.
