Giacomo Mori Chianti Sangiovese 2014

$14.95

The 2014 Chianti is a gorgeous wine. Bright, pure and focused, the Chianti is once again and overachiever in both its class and price range. Sweet red cherry, rose petals and spices are pushed forward. The 2014 offers lovely density... Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

There’s a note of funk on the nose that never really dissipates, even with a few hours of air. Otherwise, I would rate this even higher, as there’s terrific fruit here, the acidity is present but in a supporting role, and there’s none of the austerity seen in some previous vintages.

Mori’s 2014 Chianti is bright, focused and bristling with energy. Red cherry, rose petal and sweet spice notes inform this wonderfully nuanced, overachieving, cask-aged Chianti. (AG)
