Gerard & Pierre Morin Ovide Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2016

$27.95

The Cuve´e Ovide from Pierre Morin is one of his oldest vine bottlings, as these vines are fully sixty-five years of age and planted on caillottes soils... a beautiful bottle of Sancerre at its apogee, wafting from the glass in a vibrant blend of gooseberry, lime zest, chalky minerality, a touch of fresh-mown grass and a bit of orange peel in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and zesty, with a lovely core of fruit, fine grip and balance and a long, classy and complex finish. Fine juice. 2019-2026. Lemon, green apple, and minerals abound. Piercing acidity. A great Sancerre cuvée. #weygandtwines
