Azienda Agricola Fontodi Vigna del Sorbo Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2013

$69.95

A vivid, expressive wine, Fontodi's 2013 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna del Sorbo is tremendous... Vertical and explosive on the palate, the 2013 is a huge wine. Black cherry, plum, graphite, licorice and dark spices emerge over time... A host of violet, lavender, menthol and dark spices wrap around the...finish. Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Excellent - nice tannins and a little spice. Gran selezione - not riserva

Too tannic for my taste, but I’m just not a big Chianti fan.

Very pretty, but underdeveloped. Needs time. Acid, structure and aromatics seem out of balance for now. The vintage seems very elegant, feminine. Topsoil, purple flowers, dreamy/spooky scenes of Alice falling down the rabbit hole, Tarkovsky’s slow, still shots; interesting scenes before you know what will happen.
