There is a sense of translucent finesse in the 2010 that is impossible to miss. Sweet red cherry, stone fruit, mint and wild flowers all grace the exquisite finish. What a pretty wine this is. Huge smoke and ash on the nose. Wow. Campfire, dark cherry, some cigar box. Very very cool. As it opens up, a lot of lighter strawberry and red cherry on the nose. On the palate, deep dark cherry, tobacco, leather, smoked wood, stewed fig. Just unreal, very cool wine. Medium low tannin, but super super long and stays for days.

Smells fruity and sweet, a little bit pleasantly musky. First reaction was very sweet, but Charles says actually it's just really fruity. Fruity taste fades to more complex savory taste at the middle/end. Fine tannins, a good amount of sharpness at the back of the throat when I swallow, but doesn't last. Had with octopus avocado red sauce pasta. Good for drinking on own
