...The wine has turned out beautifully, as it offers up a deep and very floral nose of both orange and apple blossoms, pear, lime, a complex base of chalky soil tones and a nice touch of smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with racy acids, excellent complexity, a rock solid core and a very long, racy and supremely elegant finish. Perfect example why I enjoy French Chardonnay. Nice amount of minerality in the taste as well a perfect amount of oak and little butter. Really opened up after about an hour of decanting.
