Domaine Georges Roumier Clos de la Bussière Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2010

$465

...a relatively perfumed nose that includes notes of earth along with the natural sauvage character of the vineyard. In fact there is even a certain elegance to the attractively layered airy and cool red berry liqueur aromas. There is good richness and fine volume to the moderately robust and muscular flavors that culminate in a balanced and linear finish that evidences mild austerity. I quite like this as the tannins are finer than usual and there is a real sense of harmony and completeness. Burghound.com

Light very feminine wine. Good salinity fruit at the end of its lifetime. Drink now

So young and so close.... But the potential is here... Come back in 2-3 years!

Lots of pleasure here, but built for the long haul. Broad and powerful with a core of all red fruit. Generally more reliant on its structure than heady floral-perfume aromatics for its quality. Lives up to its pedigree, for sure, but I generally prefer aromatic to structure-focused burgundy. Oak is supportive but definitely present, in-line with its structural pedigree.

Always a treat. Great bottle of wine. An infant, 3-5 years before I'd revisit.

Ahhhh. Some quality juice. Still very tight. Needs time. I bet 09 would be especially enjoyable.
