Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) Richebourg Pinot Noir 1990

$2949

The DRC produced splendid wines in 1990, and the Richebourg is close to reaching its plateau of maturity. A dark ruby color reveals lightening at the edge. The stunning aromatics offer intense aromas of spring flowers, black fruits, licorice, and toasty new oak. Fleshy and medium to full-bodied, with a velvety-textured palate, and sweet fruit, this smoky, rich, complex red Burgundy can be drunk now and over the next decade. Robert Parker

@David L @Shawn R Good times, Good Times to day the least! I could literally forsake all other wines and only drink this for the rest of my life!!!! It’s a phenomenal example of what all Wines should aspire to be! Elegant, sophisticated, and freaking mind blowing Awesome!!!! Is that to much to ask for in a wine!!! Badass in a glass to say the least. A special thank-you to my buddy David Page. for allowing me to purchase these from his personal cellar when I’m looking for a bottle to commemorate a special evening. Weekend in NY with our gorgeous wive’s that put up with our shenanigans seemed like the perfect occasion to do so!!

Still wound pretty tight...intense backbone, plenty of flesh underneath, bit mysterious still...need a few more years!

Classic DRC, sandalwood incense, seamless tannins with the power and intensity expected with Richebourg.

1990 DRC Richebourg. Lunch at Tap while DS was visiting. Drank this side by side to the 1985 Griotte-Chambertin. Hard to pick a fave- they were very different. This one had much more fruit and texture to it and I might have favored it slightly.
