a beautiful middleweight in the making, with the intense red fruit of the vintage and the great elegance in florid display, as the wine jumps from the glass in a blaze of cherries, blood orange, vinesmoke, violets, Vosne spices and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is medium-full, very pure and very transparent in this vintage, with a solid core of fruit, tangy acids, lovely focus and fine length and grip on the moderately tannic and very pure finish.
