...a really beautiful wine and one of the most complete and classic examples of this bottling in several vintages. The bouquet is deep, pure and vibrant, offering up scents of lime, green apple, briny and stony soil tones, citrus peel and a nice touch of dried flowers in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure and focused, good acids and outstanding length and grip on the well-balanced and wide open finish. When we think of summer wines we think of Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Etc. good refreshing white wines. Well I am here to tell you don't forget or over look Melon de Bourgogne grape or we know it as Muscadet. I picked the wine up at Vin Chicago for $11.79. A great price for a nice refreshing white wine from the Loire Valley in France. This wine shows a Pale yellow in color floral notes, fresh fruit with good melon. The palate brings forth pear, apple, and lemon zest. This is a clean fresh, dry with minerality and racy acidity, medium body, medium + finish. A very nice wine to have on a warm summer day.
