Diatom’s 2009 Chardonnay Bar-M, from vineyards in Los Alamos, is a gorgeous wine and a fabulous value. Tangerine oil, white flowers and light tropical accents give this curvy, airy Santa Barbara Chardonnay so much appeal. Breezy saline notes linger on the wonderfully inviting finish. $25.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020)

It’s been a while since I had this but it’s got deep stone fruit flavours and full bodied. Round on the palate with a hint of nectar on the finish.

Always great to wine down the weekend with a mellow Chard. Dry and contrasting on the palate with obtuse acidity and a tropical ripe fruit finish; other than that this could be great.

I actually found this at Costco..$17ish! Beautiful Chardonnay sharp citrus, tropical fruits, nice salinity, jasmine, mild creaminess like vanilla taffy not butter! Pnp might update pending little chill and aeration! Santa Barbara wines are a favorite! Cheers on this Friday evening!
