Lots of ripe and rich fruit with a decadent undertone of meat and spice that turns to pure fruit and licorice. Medium to full body, refined tannins and a fresh and bright finish. All about harmony... James Suckling

Deep red. Perfumed aromas and flavors of red and black cherry, cinnamon, mocha, ginger and blood orange. Smooth and multifaceted, with strong licorice notes emerging on the long suave close. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, April 2020)

The 2015 Brunello’s are drinking beautifully. This Ciacci is no exception.

I thought this wine was outstanding. I am enjoying Italian wines more; this one had burgundy notes to it. Subtle cherry with low tannin, secondary characteristics like leather and game. More herbal than burgundy. $110/RP 96 pts.

Ruby/garnet coloration. Some translucency. On the nose, ripe cherry and strawberry, balsamic, florals, spice and earth. On the palate, full bodied, cherry, strawberry, spice, florals - an earthiness and minerals into the finish. Well balanced tannins and a nicely layered wine. Medium long finish. After revisiting later, ripe cherry and plum, dark chocolate, coffee start to dominate and the finish is more pronounced with that fruit, earthiness and minerals.

Drank hot and didn’t open up even after two plus hours. Didn’t love it.
