Amazingly fresh. Classic nose of cassis, tobacco, very light peppery note. Vibrant and full of energy, yet supremely refined and long. Has years of life in it.

1989 vintage. Excellent fill and cork. Decanted and tasted multiple times over the course of four hours. Medium body. Slightly corked in the nose and didn’t affect the flavors as much as one would expect. Ultimately, though, couldn’t deny the flaw. Definitely a pity. Most anticipated wine of the night and still had tons of body and grip. 3.5.24.

Ok this wine was closed for three hours. What an amazing right bank. Silky and powerful I think this wine could go another 20 years. Subtle chocolate notes underpin this wine. Wow it has another 20 years of life.

From Magnum. Took a few hours to open up, intense, dark, powerful. Lots of primary fruits still, but developing a bit of secondary aromas. Will be great in 10-15 years.
