...The nose is very intense with notes of blackberry, cassis, tobacco and a touch of black truffle, all very well defined and perhaps less generous, but more cerebral than the 2009. The palate is full-bodied with exceptionally silky smooth tannins, wonderful harmony and sense of beguiling composure and completeness... eRobertParker.com (Neal Martin)

The 2010 Léoville–Las Cases has a very intense, multifaceted bouquet of blackberry, raspberry, orange blossom, pipe tobacco and light white pepper aromas. The oak is now fully enmeshed, and if anything it blossoms with aeration. The palate has softened a little since I tasted this in 2014, but there remains a wonderful arching texture, a fine bead of acidity and enormous length. The persistency here is outstanding, but there is also plenty of freshness. This may be a little more open than I imagined, though I would still give it another two or three years in bottle. Tasted at the château. (Neal Martin, Vinous, December 2019)

Go a of blackberry liqueur. Like compote cooking. Beautiful but a decade young. Currently all fruit. A certain coolness to it.

This should cellar longer. Maybe another 5 yrs before I try again. Decanted over 3 hrs. Tight in first hour. It needs a lot air now. Many layers and complex fruit. It lingers. Meaty after taste. Dark fruit. Earthy. I liked it very much and look forward to the next one.

This was the 2010. It was very impenetrable and I think in a dumb/closed phase. I was told they opened and decanted 4 hours before dinner. All notices on this are spectacular so I'm guessing it will blossom....but I'd hold until 2025 if you have the patience.

Excellent 2010, light on fruit, moderate mushrooms, slightly earthy, light at the end, expected more

Good, but still young. Decanted it for 30 minutes , fruit is highly pronounced but so are tannins considering young age.
