Château Haut-Brion La Clarté de Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2016 (1500ml)

$195

The second wine of this incredible estate is the 2016 La Clarte de Haut Brion Blanc (76.3% Sémillon and 23.7% Sauvignon). As with the grand vin, it has an incredible mix of vibrancy and richness as well as beautiful tart citrus, lime, white flowers, and crushed rock aromas and flavors. Fresh, focused, medium-bodied, and with bracing acidity yet terrific concentration, it too needs short-term cellaring and should keep for two decades. Jeb Dunnuck

Blended with 24% Sauvignon Blanc, pale lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with spice and floral mineral notes. On the palate flavors of pear, pineapple and lemon zest with floral spice. Long finish ending with fruit and wet stone character. Nice, good now!

rich and viscous with an array of citrus fruits ~ just enough acidity ~ paired well with my lump meat crab cake
