This is a bird of a different feather, with an exotic, vibrant aroma of toasted coconut, followed by an almond cream note that gives way to the core of green fig, papaya, Cavaillon melon and honey. There's stunning richness and mouthfeel, with the power to be one of the longer-lived wines of the vintage. Very impressive... Wine Spectator

2009 vintage ( half bottle). Looks more evolved than the 2010 tasted alongside. But it is also much more complex. Intense perfume showing an abundance of noble rot, with roasted nuts, pineapple, honey, and a hint of thyme. Concentrated and layered, perfectly balanced and very long. Seems to be a notch above the 2010 today

The 09 is tasting great but I think I prefer the 11. This one has some really nice texter and this creamy thing going on. But the 11 is just so beautiful and tropical. Good thing I have both! :)

Stellar showing. Always bold and bountiful. Scores are too low here.

The Fall Confrerie St Etienne dinner highlighting Alsatian whites alongside French and Napa reds. A delightful evening! I’ll be honest...this kind of stole the evening. It was paired alongside a pumpkin spice creme brûlée and it was an astounding pairing. Out of mag. Honeyed apricot, cashews, Mexican vanilla. Could still use another 7-10yrs away, but hard to ignore now!

A more exotic/tropical fruit profile than with 03 with a very desirable tartness.

A showstopper, especially for its price. Decadent and lush. Layers of tropical fruit, dried pineapple, dried apricot and apricot jam. Nice vein of acidity to keep it light and lively. On the finish Vietnamese coconut caramel custard, a waft of cardamom. Gorgeous.

A rich, tropical bonanza! Quite soft and showing its wood.

NOSE: apricot jelly…pineapple…vanilla cookie. TASTE: peach, mango, apricot, pineapple, vanilla cream, caramel. Cooked peach (like canned peach juice) lingers — lengthy finish. Almost over the top! 93.

In a beautiful spot. Went great with Bananas Foster. The wine tastes of crème brûlée with a hint of orange peel and apricot.
