The copper-tinged 2019 Cotes de Provence Rose l'Argentiere is mostly Grenache, with little bits of Syrah and Cinsault. A consistent favorite in these tastings, it's fermented and aged in concrete, with plenty of lees contact to enrich the texture. Scents of crushed stone join hints of red currants, melon and citrus on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is fine and silky, giving the impression of richness without weight and developing lingering notes of spice, lime and berries on the finish. This wine’s nose gives off minerals notes, aromas of red fruit and citrus. There is a floral hint, too. Red berries on the palate, with a nice acidity and creamy mouthfeel at the same time. This is a very fine rosé which will pair wonderfully with seafood or snacks.

Light, shimmering orange. Ripe citrus fruits and red berries on the incisive nose, plus a floral quality that builds with air. Smooth and fleshy in style, showing good depth to the juicy blood orange and strawberry flavors, which take on a spicy white pepper nuance on the back half. Firms up on the spice-tinged finish, which hangs on with very good tenacity. This wine has the depth of flavor to work alongside strongly seasoned food, but it's racy enough to be served by itself.
