Château Cos d'Estournel Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 1995
A wine of extraordinary intensity and accessibility... Opulent, with forward aromatics (gobs of black fruits intermixed with toasty pain grille scents and a boatload of spice), this terrific Cos possesses remarkable intensity, full body, and layers of jammy fruit nicely framed by the wine's new oak. Because of low acidity and sweet tannin, the 1995 will be difficult to resist young, although it will age for 2-3 decades. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2025. Robert Parker

I absolutely adore where the 1995 Cos D’ Estournel is drinking at this time. Toasty oak and copious dark fruits with earthy tones round out the nose. The palate shows some serious weight and brilliant acidify despite the wine’s age. Black tea, Asian spices, cigar box and creme de cassis with blackberry compote flavors al impress in the glass. A stunning wine now, this has a long life ahead of it. Drink 2019-2045- 95
