The 2013 Syrah en Cerise, of which there's only 361 cases to go around, sees almost all neutral oak and is always 100% Syrah. Peppery, classic rocks, peat moss, violets and plenty of sweet black cherry and cassis aromas all show here. It is full-bodied, layered, sexy and gorgeously textured on the palate. The texture here is classic Cayuse, and it has fine, sweet tannin that come through on the finish. eRobertParker.com

1/2 hour decant (some cloudy sediment). A remarkable purplish ruby red color. On the nose: bursting from the glass are notes of dark cherry, iron, smoked meat, that Cayuse funk(luv it), eucalyptus, and floral. Taste: juicy, smooth..drinking beautifully...with cherry, pepper, orange peel, green olives, iron, and a minerally bacon long finish. Kaboom!

2013 vintage. Delicious dark berries with great spice on the finish. A stupidly balanced Syrah considering the extremes

A friend took one for the team by pulling the cork way too soon on this one. Extremely tight and closed down, suggest you let these sleep for a few years. Rating this on potential. Great structure. Typical En Cerise terroir, this will be great a few years from now. @Dag Zapatero likes them young, but this was robbing the cradle.
