Always dependable and always a joyful experience with all of Russell’s cab wines for me but it was not WOTN - first sip and I thought man I wish would have opened on a separate night as I thought would be the WOTN - so little shocking and yet it was a 95 - this is a COP -

Tried of waiting on 13s be ready - time to wake up youngster - daddy is thirsty - Russell Bevan you are making incredible juice - this satisfy's everything but for sure my thirst needs - decanted for less than a hour - and pop - big bold and beautiful - why can't all my wine experiences be like this - way beyond smiling tonight

Bevan - Saturday night - family - two hour decant - this baby is amazing - wow wow wow - please believe all that is being said about the 13 and 14 cabs they produce - trifecta in perfect harmony - please Bevan do not take the price up - many of us on delectable have been drinkers and believers for some time and Russell (which is the name of my youngest son) we are truly committed like a true cult - perfect color nose taste and finish - this is a true big bold beautiful wine - easy SMILING - bravo Bevan

EE bottling. Gorgeous perfume and stunning purity are two of many hallmarks of this deeply complex wine. Full bodied but not at all heavy, despite lofty oak spice and highish alcohol. Iron like minerality dominate the dense and spicy finish. There's a sense of place here which I like; something I hope Russel will explore further in future vintages. Yet, an easy 97 p.

Blackberries and cassis, cool oak treatment and oriental spice notes flow into a rich, fruit and pure palate with clever, accessible tannins and acidity enough to let flavors linger effortlessly on the juicy and complex finish. Just a tad sweet on the back palate. Let it settle for a few years.
