Entering the early stages of its drinking window and what will be long life ahead, it was extremely giving showing what was an incredible balance of power and elegance. Seesawing back and forth between the two, seducing with its sweet floral and spice aromas and caressing the palate with its lovely silky texture and pure, rich and deep fruit. This is a wine with a truly exciting future and what a thrill to taste at this stage.

Popped open for "academic" purposes. Incredibly perfumed and pure. There is so much going on with ripe red and dark berries/cherries. Sandalwood quality that's reminiscent of Liger Belair. Exotic spices (ground pepper) that clearly call out Vosne Romanee. Can last 1-2 decades! Note to myself: if opening another bottle in the near future, uncork a few hours in advance and drink half, save the other half for tomorrow.
