Agricola Querciabella Camartina Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2004

$89.95

The estate's 2004 Camartina is another irresistibly sexy wine. A deeply-colored ruby, it displays captivating aromatics along with notes of blackberries, blueberries, violets and graphite that emerge on its medium-bodied frame. The fine tannins make it a highly enjoyable wine even at this early stage... It is a terrific effort from Querciabella... Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Delightful wine. Fruit just starting to integrate with tannins. Needs another 5 years to be really enjoyable in my opinion but still very good.

Out of 3L.... A bit safe and contained in its suit.

The nose is really showing some class here and has some beautifully framed wood spice characters, blackberry, black cherry and almost edging into a black Forrest gateaux mocha character, lovely! In the mouth the tannins are very grippy and drying and it almost drags the dark fruit down with it to the pit of your mouth, drys the toughie too much for me. Food is a must and it will be interesting to see where this goes with further ageing.

This SuperT comes out guns-a-blazin’. Very powerful, bold, and brooding. May need a ton of cellar time to contain its wrath. 50% Sangio, 45% Cab, plus a touch of Syrah and Merlot. Very dark fruited and savory.
