Sipping Fine Wine
WillaKenzie Estate is located in Oregon's Willamette Valley in the Chehalem Mountains. The winery was named after the Willakenzie soil on which the vineyards are planted to convey the influence that the soil imparts on the wine's flavors and aromas. Ruby red with aromas of red fruits and floral spice notes. On the palate blackberry and cherry with pepper spice. Well balanced with good acidity on lingering finish with a spicy earthy ending. Good value wine from OR.

One of the less peppery, more fruit forward, full bodied pinots I've had. Ripe cherry, maybe fig? Reminds me of the heavier reds I can't drink anymore bc of allergies, a lil nostalgic. Like it! Label says this variety was intended to enjoy young, but will keep 5-10 yrs. I'm drinking a 2014 vintage.

Smoky cherry, raspberry and blueberry notes. Light bodied, more like a Beaujolais. Little bit of spice. Would be good with a chill!

Generally don't like chilled reds, but this was wonderful even chilled.

Passports wine dinner 14.2% paired with smoked duck breast. Good. More conventional.
