Table thought it was a Pinot. Ruby garnet in color and earthy cold climate Pinot flavors. High bright notes and tight acids. Only a ghost of Syrah-Grenache lurking the background.

Lighter bodied and elegant in style with subdued nose. Sour red cherry and strawberry with pepper and savory notes.

Agree with the review stating it was more akin to cool-climate Pinot Noir than a (92%) Syrah, and it seems closest to many earthy Oregon Pinots. [Actually, the earthy quality slowly dissipated and finally vanished after 3 hours, but sadly the Syrah characteristics didn't step up much.]. Not a bad wine, but not a really good one, either. And, I if I wanted an Oregon Pinot, that's what I would buy.
