Annual Man Cave dinner. 80+ wines accompanied by zebra, oryx, buffalo, bison and any other African meat you can imagine. I’m scoring this based on QPR. Think this is $35’ish/bottle? Astounded. It’s got ripe and crisp apple notes, but also more of the toasted brioche, hazelnut and similar toffee notes to what I get with Roederer’s L’ermitage. Simply more chalk and limestone.
