Very meaty with slight red currant and strawberry on the nose. Palate of milk chocolate, raspberries, under-ripe strawberries, leather, and tobacco. Medium + tannins. Medium + acidity. The acidic backbone of the wine makes it good with food.

Decanted for 1.5hrs. Smells like an Italian garden and Vineyard. Wonderful aromas. Cherry, leather, tobacco, violet, and rose petal flavors. Amazing, so freaking good.

Had to guzzle this since the Piazza San Marco was flooding (as did our restaurant) from high tides in the Venetian lagoon while we sped thru dinner. Still I appreciated the ripe lush fruit and velvety tannin. Very much an early drinker for BdM.

Comes very pleasing and approachable despite it‘s young age. Blackcurrant and some kind of plum underlined with fine licorice, some leather and also violets. Complex, structured, juicily mouth filling, highly mineralic and long. Only the acidity needs to settle down a bit over some years but tannin-wise this is very fine drinking now.
