Pale yellow color. Lightly salty aromas with powdery flowers and pineapple; no pronounced petrol or diesel. On the palate it's off-dry with good but not crazy acidity (the TA is 7.3 g/l). There's tropical fruit here, especially passion fruit, and the finish is lemony. Overall this is a nice but not spectacular Rheingau Riesling, somewhat lacking in personality and verve. 12% abv | $35 (sample)
