Couldn’t believe my luck when someone walked in with this. I recently made the list and purchased some current release as well as an older vintage all without ever trying these wines. People speak highly so I’m glad I got to see why. This is mainly Beckstoffer GIII I believe (though it’s now mainly Moulds, Farella and Houyi) and it had some hallmark BGIII notes...dusty blackberries and raspberries. Rose petal, graham cracker and lead. Nice!

For me the 2010 was a bigger & thicker wine, could be this was just to young, surprised by the heat & spice compared to the 2010

Really drank nicely. Great mix of red and blue fruits, cedar, cocoa, coffee grounds. Improved as it continued to unfold over the hours and days.

A true masterpiece and one of the greatest young Napa CS I've ever encountered, this vintage boasts great fruit and amazing precision. Tannins still need time to resolve and of course, there's not much secondary complexity at present, but loads going on here and this will surely reward patience.

Finally!! I was so much looking forward to tasting this wine. Thanks#roypiper #piperwines. Well defined, super-fresh blueberries and juicy cherries are framed by serious tannins and lovely, refreshing acidity. Amazed by the graceful balance between powerful, yet lifted fruit, underlying minerality and nicely integrated oak. This is impressive, and has the stuffing to age effortlessly.
