Super savory. Just past peak but on a nice slow decline.

Should have deal this a few years ago on its way out. Sort of a bummer I have had several bottles of this same year and it was a very very good wine

A deep ruby, the '04 Pax Syrah 'Kobler Family Vineyard' is intensely scented with red berries, white pepper, earth and savory herb aromas. Rich juicy flavors of red and black fruits penetrate the mouth. There are noticeable tannins still present on the spicy and long lasting finish.

The '04 Pax Syrah 'Kobler Family Vineyard' transformed our simple pizza night into a virtual special occasion feast. This deep ruby Côte Rôtie knock-off dazzled with big licorice, black fruit, pepper and asphalt. Rose-scented floral notes were also quite prominent. Penetrating fine tannins provided the needed pucker that lead to a lovely and juicy finish.
