So good it was tubbable. Ripe, bright fruit on the nose and core. Delicious.

Really nice fruit, more earthy and balanced than most Sta Rita Hills pinots I've tried.

I don't often find myself saying this about Melville wines, but I was disappointed with this offering. Has a nice nose - much more delicate than is typical for Terraces - but the mid-palate was very thin. After about 2 hours, it opened up a bit, but it never went anywhere. Will try the next bottle in a few more years to see if it's just in a dumb phase, but this is just not at the level I've come to expect from the Small Lot offerings out of this terrific winery.

Odd taste, not bad, just odd. Nose was earthy too. Had some funk on it. Opened up nicely.

Wow! Could use more time in the bottle but this Pinot is all cherry and spice. Lots of spice. Big spice gives way to mushrooms and forest floor earthiness. Glad I have another bottle to hold onto and drink in 2018 or later.
