Biodynamic & organic is this champagne from Leclerc Briant. I recently received this sample from @frenchvine.com.au who specialise in importing French wines into Australia (founded by former Wallaby David Lyons and his wife Justine). This Brut Reserve is a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay. With the recent launch of my small business, Grand Cru Digital, it was the perfect time to pop a bottle of bubbly to celebrate. We enjoyed this as an aperitif while I was cooking up a feast for dinner. It’s a pale yellow colour with hourglass like bubbles. The nose is full of peaches and cream with hints of almond croissants, honeysuckle and citrus. While in the mouth it’s super smooth with lemon honey, butter and a wonderful crisp vibrancy to it. Refreshingly delicious. All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #winesample #tcweekdaywine

This bottle was somehow tired and too toasty / bready for me. No info on disgorgement.

Organic, grower champagne. Lightly sweet brioche. Has some depth. Would stand up with meal.

Texture, honeyed stones fruits with good enough structure to stand up to a good meal. Maybe not a champagne for everyone, but we had a blast!

Fleshy stone fruit with citrus notes on the finish. Long finish with great texture on the palate. More of a quality family time champagne than a bottle to pop at parties.
