Nose has ripe black cherry, ripe strawberry, damp leather, faint wet wood charcoal and dry leaves. Palate has ripe blackberry, dried Bing cherry, dehydrated strawberry with a lingering dry soil finish. Holding up much better than expected. Notes at 24H; yesterday the nose was quite vivid. Decanted 90m.

Had this several years ago and it was terrific. This one, not so much. Absolutely past its prime

Literally a great wine for a snowy day in May.

10 years old but hanging in there. Earthy and silky, diminished fruits. Longs for some truffled/mushroom dish.

Past it's prime. Good leather mid-palate, not much more.
