Quite a recent vintage for a Barolo of this size and weight but showing well with a lovely balance of sour cherry, tar, roses & with the classic high acid but ripe tannic finish. Typical weight & depth from Serralunga and a lovely example from a benchmark producer.

Rich and full with dark cherry and berry fruit, it finishes with firm earthy tannins. Very good.

Powerful tannins, could use some time in the bottle. Ripe and dry

Way too young but want to try. Light brick-red color w/ light purple rim; wonder- and power-ful nose of flowers (roses!), charcuteries, spices, anise and some oak flavours; medium-bodied, high alcohol and acids, youthful, lots of fine tannins, liquorice, "restrained-fruit-profiled" and a long rich but unbalanced finish. Better on nose than palate and should rest a few years, as expected. SaintSaens organ symphony rescued the afternoon.

Lighter in color of brick. Decanted for one hour. Delicious with mushroom ragout!

Black licorice and leather, excellent with Italian red sauce and herbs. Fantastic wine.
