Closed as you might imagine, but still a lot of pleasure. Everything about this wine was refined. Genuine polish

Quite deep ruby , pink ruby rim . Quite tight and mineral , meaty note on the nose . Slightly green perhaps but with mineral , darker fruit , blackcurrant , kirsch , dark cherry. A little closed and solemn . A little woody on the palate first, with iris and dark cherry, cassis and blackberry notes . Quite firm tannins , bright acidity , medium length . This probably needs more time but is quite a difficult wine at present , serious and aloof , quite Bonnes Mares I suppose . Can be drunk now but would benefit from another 3-4 years and will last well a further 5-10.
