Dusty red fruit and burned earth. Totally rustic and perfect for a charcuterie plate and duck breast entree. There is more acid than you'd expect but a wonderful finish that doesn't overstay it's welcome.

Come a long way in 2 years. Crushed rock and spicy mid palate. Tannins are still prominent but in a pleasing , grippy way. It gives the wine some testicular backbone. Gorgeous with time to go in the cellar

Until recently, I had not tasted this wine since 2002. Still amazing, full-bodied, rich, luscious. I had it in San Francisco with rotisserie chicken smothered in porcini mushroom sauce. Amen to that!!!
