Half Chardonnay, half Pinot Noir. Big nose of all the typical notes that you want from a quality champagne. Pears, green apples, oranges, and lemon zest. Fuller bodied than expected with some nice acidity. The nose doesn’t fully translate to the palate, with several of the notes seeming too muted and the large-ish bubbles are somewhat annoying, but who cares. It’s more than adequate to have a great New Year’s Eve.
