Because if you’re gonna drive all the way to Colorado, you might as well bring some wine with you, right? Steaks on the grill and this glassful of dusty earth, cherries, sandalwood and leather. Needs air, like a lot of Sangiovese, but after an hour it begins really singing.

Vintage 2015 | Multi-layered elegance with impressions of plums, tobacco, chocolate. Very accessible. Beautiful! Paired with a T Bone Steak and vegetable skewers.

Just a joy. Exuberant blood orange, pomegranate and persimmon notes. Some grilled meat and sage. Full mid palate and fine tannins. Lovely.

Good full red. Tobacco, mint and earth notes complement red cherry aromas and flavors. Very fresh and precise, with a steely element to its red fruit and herbal flavors that linger nicely on the clean, juicy and floral finish. Blessed with a relatively high but harmonious acid mouthfeel and impeccable balance, this will likely age better than many other 2015 Brunellos. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, April 2020)

Love this one. Highlights everything great about brunello. Elegant, abundant acid with plum tobacco, licorice. Give it sn hour or two to open up

Complex, concentrated, ready to go. Admirable length. Bursting with red and black fruit. Wood polish and sous bois. Very enjoyable. From a half bottle.

Tasted at the winery in Montalcino on a crisp February day. Medium-garnet, swirling the glass reveals precise aromas of ripe sourcherry, red plum, orange peel, wood smoke, crushed rocks with a backdrop of bay leaf and lavender. Ripe red fruits, polished tannins and a remarkably fresh acidity caress the palate, culminating in a long, savory finish. This is a tightly structured, ambitious, somewhat modern expression of Brunello, still staying true to its origin. Drink now until 2035.
