Wouldn’t call this a Merlot / cab franc blend - it’s more of a left bank blend with 50% cab as the main grape. Needs a bit of air for the oak to blow off even at this age. Wonderful fruit. Less acid than I was hoping for but still a very nice wine paired with burgers.

Really very nice at 12 years. Deliciously fruity in a way a Napa wine can be, but actually decently refined. Either way quite pleasurable and a perfect pairing with beautiful dry aged strip steaks on the grill.
