Araujo Estate Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

To me Araujo Eisele vineyard has always been a Napa first growth. It needs ample bottle age but like Peter Michael Les Pavot or older Montelena I feel this is as Bordeaux in style as any North Coast blend. Bright lush red fruit, amazing concentration and richness, impeccable polish and style. Pre Coldplay dinner.

Stupendous length and complexity. Dark, hedonistic qualities came out after an hour but fabulous structure remained.

A beauty to be held, until you drink it.

1.5 hour decant(lots of chunky sediment). A medium dark murky ruby red color. On the nose: YUM... aged perfume with blackberry, eucalyptus, cinnamon, toasty oak all jump from the glass!! Taste: red fruit, caramel, currants, spice..a soft, lush wine with a cedar/tar DRY (eehhh)decently long finish. In its drinking window and could go another 4 years.

1 hour decant(some fine and chunky sediment). A stunning dark ruby red with hints of brown. On the nose: dark fruit, minerals, some of that aged cab sweet notes, creme brulee. Taste: black cherry, minerals, earth, floral, and a strawberry currant finish with a silky texture that coats the mouth. Medium acidity keeping it fresh..yum
