Best one of the night. Lots of toasted oak on the nose. Sharp. Bourbon that puts hair on your chest. The nose has a hint of sweeter toasted creme brulee. Entry is softer than the nose would suggest. Finishes with a campfire roasted fig and plum kind of note. Smoky finish. Nice.

Another gift from a new Kentucky friend: fairly hi-octane mellowed by Port wine barrel aging, shows a darker amber color, mellow woody flavors, some spice, orange peel, vanilla, mocha, roasted chestnuts among other myriad notes. Nice finish - a Bourbon that needs some H2O to cut the ALC to highlight aromatics.
