Tenuta di Valgiano is the gateway to a different Tuscany. ‘Palistorti’ are crooked posts, found at the end of each row of vines in the Valigano vineyards, a marker and a metaphor of nature doing what she does best – marching to the beat of her own drum. A bold blend of classic Tuscan white grapes, including Vermentino, Trebbiano, Malvasia and Grechetto.

The 2021 Palistorti di Valgiano is a very beautiful, complex wine, especially at this level. Sweet pipe tobacco, rose petal, mocha, licorice and earthy notes lend considerable aromatic presence. Silky tannins wrap it all together, while bright acids lift the finish. This is one of the best editions of Valgiano's second wine I can remember tasting. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2023)
