The historic town of Beaune is surrounded by "remparts," or ancient stone walls that used to keep invaders out and residents safe inside. Sourced from estate-owned and tended, older vines in Vosne, Gevrey and Savigny, raised in 40% new oak casks and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The sunny glory of 2018 is here in spades: black and red fruit, herbs and earth, lots of pepper and great length. This is a full-bodied, very plush and pleasurable Pinot Noir that will keep you plenty warm during the winter months.
