The “big” brother of the Sarrazin’s ‘Sous la Roche,’ this boldly drawn and very aromatic ‘Clos de la Roche’ is higher-altitude and with fancy neighbors, as it touches premier cru ‘Champs Lalot.’ Red and black fruit with a dollop of sweet spice, ‘Clos de la Roche’ may not have the concentrated power of its Côte de Nuits namesake, but it sure is delicious to savor today with a wedge of Comte and a crusty baguette.
