Had this with grilled burgers on the deck and that turned out to be a good choice for this wine. It is much more red-fruited, gently-extracted, and higher in acidity than I expected. Nose has some crushed stone to go along with the red fruit. Definitely more of a summer cookout wine than a winter daube sort of wine.
